Whenever children participate in any program or project, special care must be taken to ensure their safety. This applies to all schools. School owners must provide a safe environment both inside and outside the school building. Mandatory signs must be placed where necessary so that all who use the object can take the necessary precautions.
Safety signs
To prevent accidents on the road near the school, safety signs are required. Appropriate pedestrian signs must be provided in the area so that children can safely cross the road. Signs: “Slowly, school ahead”; Crosswalk; School zone, etc. Commonly used in and around the school building. Other signs for movement in the school zone are:
"School in session"
"Slow - the kids are playing"
"The crossing of the guards"
"Free School Zone"
"Without idling" - "Turn off your engine"
"Speed limit - 5"
"Malicious Zone"
“School bus stop ahead”
"Student pickup and crashes only"
Traffic congestion
In general, you will find heavy traffic jams near schools. This is because during the start and end of classes, the parents fly away / take the children into their cars. School buses and teachers arriving in private vehicles, along with regular traffic, also cause significant traffic congestion. With such a large amount of traffic in the area during peak school periods, it is important to have the correct signs of compulsory traffic in order to drive not only traffic, but also people who must pass through them without the risk of injury.
Necessary traffic
There are certain traffic tools that are used to regulate traffic in school districts. These tools include road signs, beacons, traffic signs and signals. Compulsory school signs warn people and traffic on the road that they are approaching an educational institution or, possibly, a school transition. In some places, if these signs are ignored, a fine is imposed. Signs indicating speed limits in the school area, as well as any warning signs, should be painted in a fluorescent and yellow / green backing with words and a border in black. Signs must comply with the basic form with the correct layout, message and color in accordance with the requirements of the state.
Relevant Signs and Rules
Near the entrance to the school, short-term parking places for visitors should be marked behind the area for students to load. All intersections should be clearly marked, and there should be a clear demarcation for different bays, separated by white road markings.
If possible, one helper who was prepared by teachers should be responsible for each bay and be responsible for helping children in and out of their vehicles. Cars and other vehicles must have identifiable numbers so that children know which car to approach. The name of each child must be called and then sent to their waiting vehicle.
Helpers should be equipped with an orange colored protective vest so that they can be easily seen and identified by children and car drivers. The above rules will ensure the safety of children as well as speed up the loading procedure.
