
Achieving the qualifications of human resources professionals (PHR) can be quite difficult. Many consider it appropriate to enroll in PHR classes and prepare them for PHR exam preparation.
The PHR exam is a four-hour, 225 multiple-choice question that can lead to successful certification or extreme disappointment for testers. The test can be difficult even for those who have a long-term professional level in human resources, since it focuses both on the practical application of knowledge of human resources and on theoretical knowledge in the field of HR practice.
Offered through HRCI, the Institute for Human Resource Certification, PHR is an important exam, pulling knowledge from a wide range of personnel-related events and areas in order to establish the subject's proficiency in the entire profession. Many personnel specialists are familiar with the main tenants of human resources. Many others work in a focused capacity in their profession, as specialists, managers, coordinators and administrators within the specific specialized function of HR.
This type of specialization can be very useful for a person in their career. This can certainly contribute to career development. However, it is rare for HR professionals to immediately prepare for the PHR exam.
The Human Resources Management Society (SHRM), together with the HRCI, understands that even HR professionals may require preparation to successfully complete a PHR study. Thus, HRCI offers “Start Skill”, a PHR preparation course, to assist in an adequate and comprehensive analysis of the materials needed to successfully complete the PHR exam.
The Start the Mind course is offered through state and local staff organizations, colleges and universities, and study groups across the United States. The course is designed to familiarize you with each of the functional areas of the HRCI Knowledge Body, which will be included in the PHR study.
The HRCI area of study includes six areas, and by the end of the session, participants will consider the subtleties of each of them. After completing the class, HR professionals will better understand their readiness for the PHR exam.
PHR classes allow HR professionals to identify their strong costumes and areas in which they may need additional study and preparation to successfully complete the PHR exam. Knowing the strengths and weaknesses in the test materials, you can get more focused further training and increase the overall likelihood of success in passing the exam and achieving certification.
Most PHR classes occur once a week in three to four hours. Classes are held for six or more weeks, and many organizations offer intensive coursework with classes, including lectures and discussions, leading class groups, instructional books and other course materials, supplementing HRCI materials, and practice exams.
