5 simple, fun and affordable things to do around Houston with kids -2

If you are traveling in the Texas coastal area, you should head to Houston. Not only is it an iconic city in Lone Star State, there are also a few things to do around Houston that everyone likes, especially if you are traveling with your children.

If you are in the Houston area and you have a child with you, you need to take advantage of these amazing offers for families:

1. Houston Symphony - The Houston Symphony offers a free series of neighbors, a collection of concerts that they offer throughout the summer in numerous places throughout the city. It even includes a concert for the celebration of July 4th. This means that no matter where you are, you can practice some serious culture from one of the country's best symphonies. If your children are interested in looking at the instruments of a musician, the “zoo for instruments” begins about an hour before each concert.

2. Tours in the old summer time in Rienzi. If your children learn to read, read books and actively interact with stories, the Museum of Fine Arts holds morning tours to Rienzi (located in the museum) on Wednesdays through most of the summer on Wednesdays ... and it's free. You can also find great stories and events in Houston’s public libraries throughout the city.

3. Movies. As we look at summer, it may seem important to you to keep calm, gather and cool children (both at temperature and in temperament). Fortunately, there are several theaters offering movie tickets for as little as $ 1.00!

4. Kemah Boardwalk - Kemah Boardwalk is open daily, offering entertainment for everyone. Located just 20 miles from downtown Houston, Kemah Boardwalk is home to incredible beachside restaurants, entertainment, charming shops, festivals and seaside shows every day. Depending on the day of the week, there are several ticket options available, so you can find a pricing option that works for your family. In addition, various attractions have restrictions on who can ride, but you can view their rules on your website before you travel.

5. Houston Space Center - The Houston Space Center was opened in 1992 and has since approached nearly 20 million visitors to an educational complex of 250,000 square feet. Houston Space Center is a leading science and space training center that your children will absolutely love. It is one of the main attractions of Houston (top for international visitors), the Official Visitor Center of the NASA Johnson Space Center and Space Center Houston is the only Smithsonian Affiliate in the larger district of Houston. It can be a bit expensive, so if you take inexpensive or free attractions through the city, this is one of the main places to invest. Just keep in mind that if your kids are STEM oriented, this is the place!

Finding things to do around Houston is not difficult, but definitely do your homework prior to your visit to find out what is going on. This piece of forethought will make your next trip to the Houston area one century.
