The longer we stayed in this city, the more we got to know some quality restaurants in Xi that won't break the bank. Below is a list of some of our favorite Xi restaurants in any particular order. Please note that this list is incomplete and will be updated as we discover new places of interest thanks to our conscientious research.
A restaurant at the end of the alley is not a bad place to start if you are hungry and don't feel too far away.
Restaurant Sichuan below (right with lanterns)
Like any good place in Sichuan, where salt stands, they have several dishes here with a decent blow for them. For virgin spices, you will also be served. Guo Li Ren He (this name is gaff) is a bit more expensive than its neighbor, although the food is excellent with large portions, and they also have the advantage of the English menu. Waitresses can sometimes be a little mediocre, but you get it in big jobs, sometimes?
High di Lao, near the west gate
Hot dinner in a pot with excellent service and food - you are preparing for real pleasure. This is one of the most popular restaurants in Xi, so get there early (about 5 if you do not plan to wait in line for 2 hours). If you need to wait, though they will ease your pain by giving you free snacks, shooshina and / or manicure. Absolute fever will cost 2 people in about 110 GB. Do not forget to order noodles (you will like the guy with noodles). In fact, there are about 5 in Xi (and many others in China), although for our money we think that the head of the western gate ticks most of the boxes.
Dai Jia Lou Yunnan Ethnic Minority Restaurant
At the west gate is about 200 meters on the north side of West Street (a big elephant and some plastic green palm trees). You simply do not get such places at home and, of course, not at the prices offered here. Fantastic South Chinese-style toad, and I clearly saw the worst decorations. In addition, you can order half of the dishes so that you can taste as many tasty dishes as possible, since your heart desires that it's nice to see that the menu is as large as Tolstoy's “War and Peace” (not quite certainly, but for this is a pretty impressive piece). As a rule, on Thursday-Sunday evenings, concerts of ethnic minorities are held, although you must call to confirm and book as this depends on the number
Muslim quarter
You can't go wrong in the backyard with a fantastic selection of restaurants, snacks and street dishes. Of course, there is a lot to try the palate, although the area is renamed yang / niu rou pao mo, which is a local lamb or beef soup with glass noodles, which is well-founded. Personally, I like the street food and snacks in this region and restaurants elsewhere — the staff can be a bit hectic.
Tang Dynasty dinner and dance show.
Try 18 different types of ravioli. Ask us to make a discount for you. For details, see the Brochure.
De fa chang
Another quality establishment just a few steps away, De Fa Chang is a legend in its own mind that is famous for jaouzi and a little bit ahh. No doubt, they serve some outstanding examples of Chinese dumplings, although I personally found that the service and prices had a little impact on the recognition that Lonely Planet gives. They have a fabulous place, located next to the bell tower, and if you're really a real jaouzi enthusiast, you probably won't regret to slightly cheat (cough) more than market prices.
Colabo italian
The thing about Colabo is that you just didn’t expect it to be where it is, or even have a chance to find it if we don’t tell you. It is also extremely convenient, if you just have some kind of western food, and I have to say, as far as Italian nosh goes, I rate it rather high - you will never guess that the owner is Japanese! In fact, it is located in a building adjacent to ours, right around the corner, which during the day functions as an office building for state administrators. In any case, ask us how to get there (3 minutes walk), then go to the 10th floor, from where you can control the first sight. And I'm not kidding, the food is really the coolest, although the menu can be. The environment is also better than smack in the head with a brick.
Hi, Pizza delivery
Let us sometimes just need to do it. These guys make a decent home effort and deliver within an hour. Just go to 508 to check the menu and we will send you an order.
Beef qingbao
It's a bit of a mission to get there (about 12 minutes in the booth), but if you hang out for some real meat, then this is one of the best restaurants in Xi'an. The troupe consists of several "islands", each with its own chef, barbecue you beef your dream. The first bite will melt in your mouth, and when I say it, I will talk about WILLLE. We have large kiwis on meat, but this place adds a new dimension (for some reason, seasoning usually looks macho kiwi on the grill as feminine). I just hope that I will have a chance to bring my old man here in the future, although his grill still sets a benchmark.
