Many guinea pig care experts agree that guinea pigs cannot live outside because they cannot tolerate extreme temperatures. However, using a run outside, it’s normal in milder weather if you watch the sky closely. Guinea pigs really have to go out of their cage or at home every day for exercise in order to prevent stress, boredom and stop them from being overweight, which leads to serious health problems.
Although you may have heard of Cubes & Coroplast modular enclosures (C & C cages), they are not recommended for use outdoors. Of course, you can buy pet store jogging, just be careful. Guinea pig rescue experts recommend a minimum of 7.5 square feet for one guinea pig (rising another 3 square feet for each subsequent guinea pig).
