Even for those who have been modeled for a long time, the search for your light can be one of the most difficult. You must not only master the awareness of where the light is always, you must be able to find the light even in motion. In this article I will talk about tips on ensuring that you are constantly in the right light during a photo shoot or on the runway.
Understanding how lighting works: First, it is important to know what you are looking for when trying to find your own lighting. In general, there are three types of areas in the area: strictly illuminated, moderately illuminated, and dimly illuminated. Strong lighting is the light that comes from the light bulbs themselves that illuminate you. Professional photographers try to disperse the light as much as possible, but there is still an area that is the most difficult. Moderately lit areas are those that are illuminated through the diffused light from the lights. Low-lit areas are those that are not properly lit.
"Face in bright, Nothing in the dark": Try to adhere to the principle that your face should always be in the brightest part of the world, while no part of you should be in any of the dimly lit areas. It really doesn’t matter if the rest of your body is in strongly illuminated areas of light rays. Just make sure you are never in dimly lit places.
Feel the heat and glare: This requires some practice, but someday you can immediately tell whether your face is in the bright part of the world. There are two things to check. First, check to see if your face feels a little warmer. Especially on stage, you can tell when you are in a ray of light, feeling warm. Alternatively, check whether the light is particularly uncomfortable. Move your head, looking at the light, and you will find that the place where looking at the light hurts more is a good place. While shooting, you cannot continue to look at the light, so familiarize yourself with the practice of testing your peripheral vision.
