
The region extends from the impressive Drakensberg Mountains to the coast in the southeast. Some highlights that can be seen and done in KZN include:
Visit Battlefield Large wars between the British, the Boers and the Zulus were prepared here. There are over 50 combat sites that can be visited. This is best done as part of an organized tour.
Natal Midlands - This is really a beautiful area with fertile landscapes, crystal clear water, forests and is also rich in history. Midlands Meander, which is very popular among lovers of arts and crafts, should not be missed.
