Report on the study of the development of the watershed in the tribal zone of Rajasthan with their social participation -2

Prolegomena

This study should understand the concept of development of watersheds in the tribal arena with their participation in society. My research revealed the impact of the development of watersheds in tribal areas and the participation of communities in this program, which help in their holistic development.

I am exploring here the newest focused arena of today, which is the development of the watershed. I got the opportunity to study at the grassroots level and introduce the topic on a more significant avenue. I chose Rajasthan especially for him, because it is a drought-resistant arena and consists of an average tribal population, which are mainly based on agriculture and fill the stomach with a return, whatever they get for their production. But, unfortunately, this causes them dependent occupation. They must depend on rain for their crops and agriculture. And at that time, in the offseason, they should all depend on work, and they are not sure that they will receive daily wages and work. Monsoon plays an important role in feeding its bellies.

The problem arises only when they have no work in the offseason, because there is no water and no more farming. The situation arises because of their lack of knowledge and awareness of the conservation and sufficient accumulation of water during the off-season. And this situation creates havocs there. Their lack of knowledge confirmed the natural situation and the environment.

Impact
After pitching to study this project, I was recognized with many of the arena, which is the basis of this project, that without the social participation of the people of the community or we can say without their own initiatives, this project falls into the category without run and success. Here, after visiting the project area of the development of the watershed, which was founded on the initiative of the organization (Cecoedecon), which received the foundation from OXFAM and UNDP for this project. In the village of Purumpur and Sanvara, it is located under the Shahabad block in the Baran area. Both villages are made up of tribal populations. Great success can be achieved only when people take the initiative on their own. The concern of each person in the field of coverage is mandatory for the expansion of work.

In general, thanks to this project, I can improve my collection of records and interpersonal portfolio skills when I collected secondary data for research, and when I smashed the community to learn about their effects on the effects and effects of these conservative and reservoir environments, Anikuta, farm field drilling, ponds, dense stones, etc.

As if the question arose that what I understood in the field of development of the watershed, is that the arena was completely new to me, apart from some basic points. After studying these projects and field visits, I recognize the vast territory in which the watershed develops. The development of the watershed is not only a medium for reserving water through a preservative and a reservoir, but also a pond, anicus. But it’s more than all that that becomes the basis of people for supporting and strengthening them economically and socially in both directions.

Overview of the problem

As in this project, my main focused research area was the development of watersheds in the tribal zone with their participation in society. Because this research is mainly focused on the tribal area of Rajasthan and the tribes around it and what is the exact ratio of their participation in such projects for the conservation of water resources and soil, such as the development of the watershed and to what extent it is beneficial for them and for both their economic and for their social uplift. Because it consists of the jurisdiction of the background at some level, because it is associated with awakening, to protect the water and the ST participation rate in the rest of the field.

Depending on this, India is one of the major agricultural countries with a population of over 70%. Indian farming depends on monsoons, which has not been uniform over the years. The productivity of any crop mainly depends on two natural resources - land and water in addition to management practices. Therefore, the preservation of these two natural resources is important for the sustainability of rainfed agriculture. This can be done using watershed design techniques. The concept of a watershed for development is becoming increasingly important throughout the year.

As part of this project, I visited two villages, Purumpur, where the watershed covers an area of 200 (ha). Here the Bheel community dominated the area. I met members there and took information about the land they owned, covering the watershed area. And what are the soil types and what is their pruning structure? What kind of manure do they use? What are the advantages that arise after this watershed development project and what were their conditions before, when the watershed was not available? And what they contributed to this project in any form, either by labor or in cash. What are the changes and consequences that they saw? Their main cultures are harif and rabi. They also supported the seed bank.

The second village I visited was the village of Sanvara, which is about 24 km from Shahabad. There I visited a project that took place here in collaboration with the organization and with the participation of the community. The watershed area covers about 14 (ha). And surrounded by slopes on both sides. Through which rainwater collected the center of the farms on both sides. I have seen FFB (farm field financing), harbor traffic jams, dams to check for losses, anikuts, ponds that are sources of water harvest, and are also familiar with the process of recharging the well. And to vary the process of water conservation, which falls under the development of the watershed. Three anukuta are two of the efforts of the organization and one of the government. In the past, there were only two FFBs, now they have added one more and useful for livestock. The FFB was launched here in 2002, covering an area of 9 (ha). It consists of 12 -13 families. I spoke there with the residents of the village of Sanvara about the development of the watershed. What are their criteria for this? What are the realizations and changes that occurred before and after the development of the watershed? All of them possessed specialized land with ownership of hectares. Their main occupation is agriculture and animal husbandry.

Since each side consists of its advantages and disadvantages in it, it is also in this and among them that some consider that this is a good step and advantageous, and some consider that it is useless and this is nothing but a waste of money.

On the other hand, they understand that to some extent it is useful to reserve water and water levels, and also increases, through which they are able to provide water three to four times before their crops, which is a sign of optimism. It was the fact that I got into the group of explanations of the Sakhari community. And after that, I went to talk with people who owned their farm in the area of development of the watershed. After the watershed, they were faced with great changes, due to which they were able to stock up on water and used it during the rainy season. And the water level also increases the production of crops, and because of the presence of reserves of reserves, and this makes the plain. This has a multidimensional effect on every aspect of agriculture, including horticulture, biodiversity, livestock, income, expenses.

One of the beneficiaries of Shreelal, owning 1 acre in this area, holds the soil and manure. Previously, it was only one crop system on which they were supposed to depend and used the river water only, but now after this watershed there are changes that they can make a mixed crop and use water in the off-season, which they reserve for their cultivation. The farm pond is not comfortable here because of leaching, it cannot hold. They bring seeds from the organization and make up 25% of this contribution. This overall effect is an increase in water level. Also useful in bio diversity.

This watershed development project is intended for the Shaharii tribes and for the problem they face during agriculture and farming.

Another aspect of this study, which is sinusoidal, defines any project for the development of the watershed, is based on the baseline survey of the line and its topographical study by an engineer. Every aspect should be taken into account, including all assessments and the listing paradigm, what are the costs and benefits and consequences and the future aspect of it.

• Equivalence in both geographic and societal social value is equally important.
• It is necessary to introduce a sense of security in relation to employment, age security, and soil safety through the development of watersheds in farmers.
• Responsibility of the whole aspect of society.
• Recognizing people's primary needs.
• Beneficial for people.
• Independent responsibility for their development.
• Increased transparency, accountability and accountability.

The concept of a user group under the umbrella of a watershed association association is becoming increasingly important. These associations are composed of community members who are directly or indirectly dependent on the area of the watershed. These associations will implement and monitor all the activities proposed under the program. This includes the formation of water user groups / self-help groups and the implementation of all activities specified in the association's charter. In this area there is also one help group called Gundariya SHG. These associations absolutely must support program-supported assets to ensure long-term sustainability.

Hamartias

An important aspect here, in the villages, which I am a sentinel, based on myths, traditional methods and a denouement, which occur as the fact that they do not want to worry about the benefits of the development of the watershed and use water from it to agriculture.
• Ignorance is the main reason.
• Do not care about sustainable development.
• Refrain from using mixed farming and farming systems.
• Last but not least, prevention of natural manure and dependence on the market.

Purpose and scope

The objective of the assignment is to conduct a comparative assessment of the social and economic consequences of the development of the catchment and the exact proportion of the community to participate in this watershed program in the state of Rajasthan.

Field research process
Information was collected systematically. I visited the village and paid attention to those present in this particular area to collect data, and this helped to understand the group’s dynamics and the effectiveness of program management.

Informal discussions with a group of users to get a special understanding of the perception of the program.

Rajasthan Primary Watershed Development Program

Discussions were also held on other programs and plans reviewed in a region subject to drought by the government and other NGOs and civil society, in order to raise supporters of this field. Many of the programs that are adopted by the government itself and in collaboration with other organizations and other funding agencies, such as the name of the drought zone zone program (DPAP), employment schemes for job security through NREGA schemes, hundreds of daytime employment schemes.
Other initiatives are also being carried out in these semi-arid regions, as it covers the development of land cultivation and watersheds, the structure of water collection in ponds, the distribution of selective populations by sex, literacy, occupational structure, housing and shelter, sanitation, housing types, and clipping intensity etc.

Community perception in the watershed development program
The impact of the WSDP, which is perceived by different households in different aspects, the exemplary household perceives the conservation of soil and moisture, is the main impact of the program. This led to higher yields. Rising groundwater levels are the result of water collection on the basis of a catchment. The quality of drinking water has improved, as well as livestock and horticultural crops. Creating jobs through the WSDP is another major impact perceived by the community. In addition, the program has had an impact on land values due to increased fertility and productivity.

interchange

When I look at the edge there, I smashed at the denouement that the watershed development program, as a rule, does not concern water management or the needs of the rural water supply. However, they can have a significant impact on the availability of water resources for rural water supply. On the one hand, a watershed development project increases the availability of groundwater locally, and on the other hand, they often lead to an increase in the use of irrigation water and competition for limited resources.

The development of watersheds and water supply programs in rural areas speak very similar languages that use a participatory approach, community management, etc. And they often offer similar activities (afforestation, soil and water protection, control dams and percolation dams). and so on. D.) But they do not work together or even in a coordinated manner. This leads to several missed opportunities. Without improving rural water supply, when access to water is one of the most important factors in the livelihood of poor people (affecting health and production activities dependent on the water source), one cannot expect the watershed development project to significantly improve the livelihood of poor people .
