I start with East Jerusalem, the main Arab region, where food in the Middle East is of paramount importance.
- Petra Restaurant
Here you will find a spacious restaurant that specializes in fantastic Middle Eastern cuisine. The hotel is conveniently located at 11 Al Rashid Street. It is easy to find and has been in the same place for over 50 years. If you do not like food in the Middle East, you can also get a good hamburger!
- Restaurant Azzahara
Here is another restaurant that has existed for over 50 years and specializes in food in the Middle East. A fine selection of Arabic cuisine, but you can also get pizza if you prefer. This restaurant is located at the Azzahara Hotel, in the Sheikh Jarrah area at 13 Azzahara Street.
- Arabesque Restaurant
This is one of the most outstanding restaurants in Jerusalem. Located in the American hotel Colony, which itself is a gem, and dinner here or in an open restaurant, if the weather permits, is an unforgettable pleasure. The hotel is located in the Sheikh Jarrah area on Louis Vincent Street.
- Restaurant El Marrakesh
Moroccan Jews run a restaurant. This is one of the most authentic restaurants in all of Jerusalem. While one could get a hamburger, I have to ask why? If you need a real Moroccan dinner, with all the atmosphere and entertainment, this is the place. It is located on the 4th street of King David in the New City.
- Philadelphia Restaurant
This is one of my favorites, located in the Sheikh Jarrah area on Shimon Ha-Tzadik Street. They serve a variety of exceptional Arab dishes. Of course, you can get a hamburger, but again, I ask, why?
Let's take a look at Continental restaurants.
- Adom Restaurant
Located in the Fiengold Palace, near Jaffa Road, is one of the best Continental restaurants in Jerusalem. They offer excellent French wines and excellent French cuisine. This should not be missed on any trip to Jerusalem.
- Restaurant Gabriel
Located in the "restaurant row" at Ben Shetach, you will find this lovely continental restaurant. Although it’s kosher, it offers some of the best French dishes in all of Jerusalem. If you want to enjoy gourmet delight, try Chateaubriand for two. It is well worth it and will provide an unforgettable experience.
- Restaurant Montifiore
If you love Italian cuisine and want the perfect atmosphere, this is the place. Located opposite the Jaffa Gate of the Old City, you will see the Montifiere Mill. Just thanks to the windmill this fantastic restaurant. It offers amazing pasta dishes as well as excellent seafood dishes and should have one of the greatest views of the old city of Jerusalem. This one place should not be missed.
- Restaurant Iwo Meat Burger
Therefore, you just need to have a hamburger. This place. Of course, there are McDonalds, and there is a Burger King, but there is only one Iwo meat burger! Located at 28 Hillel Street in the city center, you will find the mother of all hamburgers! Signs warn vegetarians that this is not their place! This place will not forget.
