 Sculpture for hair 101 -2

The basics of hair sculpture are condensed into three main categories ...

The line is a solid form (bob), it is achieved with zero projection / height and appears to be one hanging length, in fact it is the progress of lengths from the shortest in the neck to the longest in the crown area of the head. This style has a maximum weight, called a weight line. The shape line can be straight or curved, horizontal or diagonal, or any combination.

A graduated form line (stacked or wedge) is created using projection or height, lifting hair from the head during sculpture. The projection angle is above zero, but not above 45 degrees. You can also achieve the end by applying stretching (pressure stretching) on the hair while sculpting; this creates minimal graduation in zero projection, but can significantly increase output at higher projection levels. In the basic graduation, the shape line can be straight or curved, horizontal or diagonal, or any combination. Most often diagonal lines are used, creating a sculpture with a wedge / folded layer.

Layered form: the bundle is divided into 2 categories (uniform and variational length)

A uniform overlap is that all hair lengths along a curved head have the same length. A sharp cut would be an example of the shortest form of a single style. Regardless of length, if all hairs are of the same length, this is a uniform bundle. in a single layer there is no weight line. A projection angle of 90 degrees is used to create a uniform layer, and the main line of the shape is rounded.

The change in length is when the increase from short to long without a limit of weight. Shorter lengths are common at the top or front of the sculpture, but in an advanced sculpture, different layers can be made anywhere in the sculpture. Projection angles range from zero to 90 degrees depending on where (in the design) this type of delamination is performed. The line of the main form is oval or inclined.

Through these basic forms (categories) all cuts are made (Sculptures). Each of these basic forms can be used individually or in endless combinations ... The more combinations, the more advanced the sculpture becomes. The possibilities are endless ...

Weight Line: A weight line has a concentration length in a given area due to gravity thrust. Weight lines range from zero to a 45 degree tilt angle. Once you reach 45 degrees (in projection), the true weight line will decrease, reaching a level above the weight line. The weight line is usually called the ridge line.
In curly hair due to multidirectional hair curls (through strands), all projection angles are exaggerated, a low projection angle (for example, 20 degrees) may appear in a finished style to look like if a 45 degree slope was used. Thus, in curly hair, be very careful with your projection angle during the sculpture, or you may end up with a completely different (shorter) design than your client expects!

Projection Angle: The angle at which hair is held in sculpture relative to a curved head (projection angles are used in other areas of hair design that will be covered in future lessons). Zero to 90 degrees are the projection angles used in the hair sculpture and design. Zero degrees, commonly referred to as natural hair fall, are when the hair is held as close to the head / body as possible, or there is no projection from the head. (It gets a little harder in shorter beans due to the curve of the neck)

Short bean can be the progress of the projection angles through this curved area, as well as in the brush laid out by the beans. Also, by holding the hair in a zero degree with short beans, you can reach the trimmed bean.

Above zero to 45 degrees creates a graduation and 45 degrees to 90 degrees. Note: Zero to 45 degrees can also be used to create a layered structure when used in certain areas of the sculpture, for example, above a horizontal curve in a bone structure.

This, of course, is just a basic understanding of hair sculpture ...
