 Wasdale Cumbria - Climbing Vacation Paradise -2

The Wasdale Hotel is located near the Lake District National Park, located in Cumbria in the UK. Here the river Irt makes its way through the valley to the mouth near Ravenglass. There is a large lake called Wastwater, and it has the reputation of being the deepest lake in all of England. The land to the south-east of the lake is very steep and makes it look like a lake surrounded by shores.

Since the city is in a very mountainous area, this is a great place where climbers can go and climb. Great Gable is the mountains in the area, and the Scafell Pike is the highest in England. Another small town, called Wasdale Head, is in the mountains, and here is the annual largest liars competition.

Also in Wasdale Head there is a small church called St. Olaf. They say this is the smallest church in England. This is a very charming church and quite a bit, and it was built from beams that came from Viking ships that were destroyed in the sea.

Next to Wasdale is another village called Gosforth. The church of St. Mary here and was built in the Norman era. In the churchyard is the highest ancient Viking cross, which is reported to be in England. The lower part is decorated with an ash tree, a sacred Norwegian tree that believed it supports the universe. The top of the cross is the symbol of the Trinity. There is also a cork tree that was planted in 1833 and still flourishes there. Most cortical trees do not survive in this far north. Inside the church are the burial sites of the Norwegian leaders, and they are in the shape of houses and have battle scenes carved on them.

If you go a little further from Wasdale, you will see Ravenglass and the castle, which is. The gardens themselves are worth the trip. There is also a railway museum, and you can ride a train through the lake area. The Hadraine wall also has a Roman bath.

The Strands Inn and Brewery is located near the Nether Wasdale - Bed and Breakfast, where you can enjoy a delicious meal. The family that owns this place is a chef and uses mostly local products. The hotel has several bars, a dining room, a games room and several en suite rooms. Westlakes Hotel is a country house located on three acres of gardens in the nearby city of Gosforth. Many climbers stay here because they are so close to climbing. Wasdale Head Inn is also a rock climbers favorite. This region is called the birthplace of British mountaineering, and this hotel offers relaxation before and after climbing.

Wasdale in the Lake District of Cumbria in England is a great place to stroll through beautiful landscapes. If you are a mountain climber, you will find great excitement in mountainous areas.
