 Holidays in Alaska -2

Camping is always a good way to see the beautiful nature and enjoy the wildlife. Chugach State Park is the first park I read about, it is located in south central Alaska, and it is about half a million hectares. South Central Alaska contains a vast ocean coast, abundant lakes, massive glaciers and ice fields. The park is located 7 miles east of the center of Anchorage, and its western border is located in the western foothills of the Chugach Ridge. Chugach is the name of the indigenous people who used to live in the older entrance to Cook.

Now in Alaska there are many parks. Some of them taught my eye when I read about them. Tok Alaska looks beautiful; It is located near the upper valley of the Tanana River, near the hills at the end of the Alaska Range. The current lies near historic gold mines, wildlife, forests and the wide inland rivers of Alaska. The Tok district allows visitors to enter Alaska along the Alaska Highway to get acquainted with the Alaska Range. In Tok there are three recreation areas that allow visitors to explore the area and enjoy the wildlife of Alaska.

The Eagle Trail State Recreation Site is located 16 miles south of Tok and is frequented by tourists traveling between Tok and Glennalen. While on the Orel trail there are several historical sites that you should check out. The Valdez-Eagle Trail, the Old Slán Road and the Washington-Alaska Military Cable and Telephone System (WAMCATS) are excellent historical sites. The Lake Lake Recreation Center is located 15 miles northwest of Toka and is a popular destination for locals. Moon Lake has several campgrounds to enjoy the lake and all that it has to offer. You may even be lucky to see that several pilots of bushes land on the lake. The local Tok river recreation site is very popular with travelers and is located 4.5 miles east of Tok. On the sandy beach of the river Tok there are 43 campsites and a campfire area. This park is located on the east bank of the river Tok and allows you to go boating and swim on the river.

The Upper Chatanik State Recreational Area is a 73-acre park located 39 km along the Streys Highway. This recreation area is popular with travelers and tourists from Fairbanks. Then there is Chatanika's lower recreation area of about 400 acres and is located about 10.5 miles on the Elliot Highway. This is also a 10-mile canoe trip from Upper Chatanyki. Lower Chatanika offers a variety of things to do all year round. Such opportunities as: camping, fishing, picnic, trips, berry picking, boating / swimming, ATV processing / snow, ice fishing, dog sledding, watching the night sky and cross-country.

Now I just moved a few places to camp. I will continue to check Alaska and write a few more places. These few that I mentioned will be the first place I check when I get to Alaska.
