1. The concept of glass washing machine
As special equipment used in the glass industry, glass washing machines are used to clean and dry original glass sheets. (1). Cleaning application for ordinary glass
The process of cleaning a flat washer for ordinary glass is relatively simple. Tanks can be fed with industrial water without heating. Since the surface of the glass has not been treated, there are no special requirements for brushes on the glass washer. At the same time, there are also no very strict requirements for water PH. About the design of the air knife, we can accept the normal design, but should provide the ability to adjust the wind power. When we clean glass with a thickness of 3-19 mm, the design of the distance between the rollers cannot be considered too large. Generally speaking, a medium or small washer can be used in the factory to clean and dry a wet piece of ordinary glass.
(2). Cleaning application for thermal insulation glass
For the production of insulating glass glass (with a flexible gasket, such as duralite or durazalny or heavy-duty) cleaning requirements for sheets of unpurified glass above. Operators must ensure good surface cleaning and drying in order to conveniently make a spacer junction for the next steps, meanwhile, avoiding scratches on the surface. For most developed countries and regions of the world, more and more factories use a horizontal washing machine to make the entire IGU warm area. This clean washing equipment consists of a supply section, a washing section, a drying section and an outlet section and in the washing section, there are three tanks in which there is heating water with a suitable PH (6-9), meanwhile, the machine must be installed with high-quality rubber carrying rollers to avoid scratches on the glass. In addition, engineers should design a special pneumatic knife design used in the drying section of the washing machine, such as a design with several blades next to each other, and ensure sufficient wind power and make it adjustable, as the best result of the blower blower can inflate hot air. All of these considerations can provide excellent performance for drying: completely clear or blow out water in a polygonal and large space. Also note that in order to fit the overall production line, it is also necessary to adjust the speed of the washer.
Note: The IG fabrication process usually contains the following machines: a flat glass washing machine, a flexible separation table, a glass assembly table, a roller heating machine, and a glass transport station. The overall production line has a two-way or one-way installation. The glass is transferred to the glass washer in a horizontal state, then begins its first process until the completion of the work on sealing the hot pressing in a heated roller machine. Small auxiliary devices, such as a gas filling machine and an oven stand, are also equipped around the production line.
(3). Cleaning application for coated glass
Before washing the glass for glass with a horizontal washing machine, the choice of brush and water quality should be considered. When cleaning, closed glass sheets should not stop under the brushes, so as not to damage the film. Since the hardness of each brush may be different, we also need to check the film after cleaning to confirm that if the brush does any damage to the glass surface or not. When we clean MSVD silver-coated glass, the best way is not to use recycled water, because these films are very sensitive to PH, if they use recycled water, operators should follow the pH value of the water sequentially.
Use demineralization or deionization of water for spraying coated glass to ensure there is no residue when drying the glass. However, the technology of this process can increase the aggressiveness of the water, so we must test the water samples and confirm the absence of side reactions. In addition, before large-scale production, we also need to conduct a trial production to determine whether water can work well in the system.

(4). An application to clean another glass (for example, tempered, laminated and safety glass)
As is the case with glass features of large size, thickness and weight, factories often use a horizontal washing machine to complete the cleaning work. For a vertical washer, due to its structural limitations, it may not be suitable for washing large-sized glass. By choosing the right soft brushes and using a different air knife design, the horizontal glass washer can meet the washing and drying requirements for glass above.
3. The perspective of a horizontal washing machine
In the last decade, building glass has been developed in the direction of insulation, energy saving, safety and finish, so horizontal washing machines have also been improved in one direction. In particular, after solar glass, conductive glass, foamed glass and other special glass are widely available on the market, the fact has put forward higher demands on cleanliness in front of special glass. The specific performance lies in the fact that we not only modernize or improve the structure of equipment, but also make a special difference in the production of brushes, the choice of transporting rubber rollers, especially so that the research of the cleaning system and the design of the pneumatic knife meet various special requirements. We can expect that along with social development in the future, new and new special glasses will appear, and the horizontal washing machine will also be produced in conjunction with them, and this industry will become more specific, detailed and standardized.
