Since the business world is experiencing the largest migration of the telephone system from the old technology to the new Internet telephone systems, all enterprises must be aware of several important factors that will determine the success of their implementation of the telephone system. While almost all new telephone system manufacturers take advantage of the modernization of old business telephony systems, it is important to check the reliability, quality and scalability of Internet business telephony brands in your area before signing with a supplier.
As with any form of technology development, there are many competing technologies that claim to be the dominant supplier. Unfortunately, due to the novelty of the technology, many manufacturers do not have a comprehensive technology that will work well through the US. More expensive brands do not mean that you get better quality, and cheaper brands do not mean that you get a better price for your money. After seeing a lot of bad implementations of the telephone system at one time, I made a list of what, in my opinion, is a critical factor that will ensure success in implementing your telephone system.
reliability
First, always consider about 4-5 telephone system providers serving your area that can deliver your functions and budget needs. Ask each of them about the recommendations of companies similar in size, like your system. Give each of these links a challenge and ask about the type of bandwidth used and the overall happiness of the service provider. Please note that many Internet telephone systems work quite well on high bandwidth, for example, on T1 lines, less work with cable and dsl. Also request information on uptime. This will give you an estimate of what you can expect from yourself.
Qualitative
SIP-based Internet telephony systems usually work better than non-SIP based systems. Many telephone systems have spotty service in different cities. Poor quality of service may be due to a delay in a call over the Internet on the provider’s servers or because the provider’s service does not work with a specific ISP. Examples of poor quality are phone echoes, dropped calls, call latency, and poor uptime. Ask about every aspect when you speak with the recommendations of the supplier.
Scalability
There are telephone systems that require personnel to manage you, while there are others who simply ask to connect telephone systems to your Internet connection for service. You can easily manage all functions using the Internet interface. While each system offers its own advantages, generally speaking, the cost of the connected and used phones increases with more implementation. In addition, plug and go phones have control limits if you plan more than 50 lines.
