However, as a rule, candidates for interviews are usually invited to provide answers to this question. But, if you are an academic who is applying for a position in academic circles, your answer to this question should be based on personal training, research, leadership, and administrative experience and interests. This is due to the fact that these areas are dominant in academic circles and those in which you would have some experience and interests.
You may be asked to answer this question by making a 5 or 10 minute presentation, with or without PowerPoint software. Regardless of length or format, you must show how your experience and interests are connected to key areas of work, as indicated in the job description.
