What is health? Wellness is defined as "the quality or state of health in the body and mind, especially as a result of deliberate effort." I fully agree with this definition, and also add that wellness includes emotional and spiritual components. When you feel well in these four main areas of being, it greatly influences your relationships, finances, career, sleep, stress levels and overall happiness in life. Your prediction is more positive when you're fine. When there is a lack of general health, the rest of your daily experience seems more complicated; you cannot get the most out of your life.
So let's look at the four key components of health. Physical health is the most viable and final component. You know when you feel bad. It could be just a cold, or it could be a serious illness. Think about a time when you were not physically healthy. This affected the rest of your life, be it for a short or long period of time. Working was not so easy - if you could work at all. Daily duties such as cooking, cleaning, running errands, and paying bills were considered a great undertaking. You probably didn't want to see friends or have fun with your family. Any plans you might have had (and really expected) were most likely out of the window. You can see how badly you feel physically in any other area of life.
Everything is a little weirder when we talk about mental health. This may be a gray area, because mental health can mean different things to different people. And there is stigma around mental health issues; although less than before. In this letter, I will not deal with serious mental disorders requiring treatment, such as depression, drug addiction or PTSD. If you or someone you know suffers from a serious mental health problem, seek help from a qualified professional. The mental health that I write about is our main thoughts. Skill yourself mentally is just as important as taking care of yourself physically. Our mental view strongly influences the overall result of our lives. We all have a constant dialogue in our heads, which is the front and center when we move through our lives. You may not even be aware of this, because your thoughts are habitual, and you have thought about them for so long that this is so. Some of you may be very aware of your internal dialogue and want you to have another tape to put in the player.
Emotional health can be even harder to determine. There are no hard and fast rules to determine if someone is emotionally healthy; It is a fluid notice and varies greatly from person to person. In general, however, emotional health is what you do with your emotions. So much is happening in our lives that send our emotions to the roller coaster. Some time up, a little down, most of them hover somewhere in the middle. You must allow yourself to feel your emotions; it is not great to ignore them completely. Emotions are vital to overall health, because this is our inner compass. Emotions tell us when there is a potential problem that needs to be solved. This is what we do with our emotions, which is important. Feeling them, watching them and giving them is a healthy way to be emotional.
The most difficult component of well-being is spiritual well-being, because there is nothing tangible in it; it cannot be measured by specific terms. At the same time, I believe that spiritual well-being is the most important component and is the building block for all other components. Spiritual well-being has a connection with your higher power, regardless of your definition of higher power. No matter how you call it your higher power, spirit, God, Universe, Buddha, Allah, source, or something else, I am talking about your belief that there is something or someone outside of us who is following us, protecting us. Connecting with this higher power, believing that there is something more there, provides great comfort when we go through the trials and sufferings that live in the physical world.
Improvement in general can be determined by the quality of your life in all its aspects. You can objectively look at each area of your life and tell you if you are good in this area. If you want things to improve in any --- or all areas of your life, take the necessary steps to provide you with the wellness process you are looking for.
