Emergency and elective caesarean section - good and bad reasons for this -2

Fire is profitable. We use it for cooking and for warming. But if it is not used properly, the fire can also be destructive. This can damage properties or even kill us. The same thing happens with cesarean delivery. The C-sections, the once life-saving procedure, are now canceled. And frankly, it did more harm than good.

According to one study, C-sections more than tripled the risk of maternal death compared with normal births. Despite this, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that C-sections account for 32% of all deliveries, "the highest ever recorded in the United States." Why is there constant growth? Some women choose to get delivery from C-due to medical reasons, but most of them are just to satisfy their whims.

Good reasons for the delivery of the C-section:

When the child is in the breech (lower first) position or in the transverse (side) position.

Fetal distress. This happens when the baby’s heart rate shows a lack of oxygen.

If the mother has a heart disease or any disease that could endanger her life with difficulty.

To avoid rupture of the uterus. This can occur if the mother has a previous C-section.

In order not to expose the child to a serious illness. This can occur if the mother has an infection, such as herpes, HIV, or anything that can be passed on to the child through natural delivery.

When the mother has a placenta previa, a condition in which the cervix is covered by the placenta and, therefore, blocks the exit of the baby.

Fancy reasons for delivering a C-section:

Currently, more and more women give birth through a planned cesarean section. One of the reasons for this is the fear of pain. A mother from the Philippines, who underwent a planned caesarean section in three of her children, did this only because she was afraid to experience labor pains.

Convenience is another reason many people prefer to have a planned cesarean section. “The patients asked him,” the New York Times reportedly, “because the grandmother came from outside the city and expected to see the child before she had to leave. Another reason is waiting for a husband to deploy in Iraq or Afghanistan. ”

A cesarean birth is also growing, because more and more doctors are now afraid of getting sued. This was confirmed by a survey conducted at the College of Obstetrics. Of its 5,644 members, 29% said they perform more C-sections “because they frightened lawsuits” filed by the patient’s family members, who believe that earlier C-section usage would have saved their loved one.

If your reason for having a C-section is good, then by all means do it. But if not, it is wise to think twice.
