The first city, Roseville, has a population of just over 100,000, but is growing steadily, expecting it to be close to almost 134,000 by 2015. The area of Roseville is more than 30 square miles and has several beautiful streams that go through the city called Dry Creek, Linda Creek, Secret Gorge and Chirby Creek. This city has beautiful and lush vegetation, which is so common in Northern California with a cooler climate and additional rainfall that it receives. Roseville has a strong economy in this with a lot of retail businesses in it. There are several other major employers in Roseville, such as Hewlett-Packard, Kaiser Permanente, Union Pacific Railroad and Sutter Roseville Medical Center, which are considered to be some of the larger companies. Rancho Cordova is a new community that was registered in 2003 and already has 60,000 inhabitants. It was named after the vineyards of Cordoba, which were located there. This is a diverse mix of residents, and many well-known professional baseball players also welcomed Rancho Cordova, such as Chris Bosio and Max Venable. Another well-known resident is Lester Holt from Today Show.
