Even if a row of chairs will sit in close proximity to the wall, they must be tied to the floor for stability. If the beams are not fixed to the floor, the row of seats will tend to tilt backwards when the weight is applied to the back of the seats. This can lead to injuries to the patrons, so the beams must be secured in place.
The place where the auditorium should be installed should be cleaned and the floor should be free of debris. You will need plenty of space in the area to maneuver with the seat frame, and you will need debris-free floors to be able to properly install the frame. If part of the wreckage is under one of the legs of the frame, then the row of seats will be uneven, which means that the whole row will be a bit unstable.
The frame on the row of seats should be brought into the zone and placed exactly where there should be a row of chairs. Once the frame is in the correct position, you can mark the floor where the bolts will be when the frame is fixed. Marking the bolt design will allow you to pre-drill the holes in which the legs will be fixed, and this will save you some grief when you start trying to install the bolts holding the frame in place.
After you mark the floor where the bolts will be, you will need to take a drill of the appropriate size and pre-drill the hole for the screws. You want the hole you drilled to be slightly smaller than the bolt that you will use to lock and hold the bolt in place.
When your holes are drilled, you clear the debris created by this action, and then set the frame in place. Using bolts of the correct size, you will tie the frame to the floor, using the holes you have drilled. When you tighten the bolts, do not tighten them as far as possible until all bolts are installed. Once all the bolts are in place, go back to all the other bolts and tighten them as far as possible.
