1. Siesta Key - Zaratoza Florida: This place is best suited for skimboarding in the cooler seasons. If you want to catch big waves, the best time to get to this place is when a storm appears on the coast. Certain parts of this area may be crowded depending on where you decide to go.
2. North Fort Lauderdale: The Anglans commercial pier is a nice flat beach, and it’s easy to get to the water (even for beginners). Swelling on this beach can reach 3 feet, while other skimboarders take a break here, so at low tide it reaches a height of about 6 feet. This beach is usually crowded, so keep this in mind when you go in search of a place.
3. St. Augustine, Vilano Beach: this hot place of skimboarding is just a few minutes from the oldest known city in America, this place is known among skimboarders in Florida. This beach has a typical Florida break combined with a very generous slant. The waves on this beach break right on the beach and are decent in size for most of the year. The largest waves tend to be in the range of 4 feet. At the southern end of the beach, near the entrance to Vilano, there is a pier, and in this area it is best to clean the waves. Try to stay away from fishermen in this area. The best time for a snowmobile on this beach is definitely great.
