
Traveling can sometimes really take energy right out of you, making it difficult for you to enjoy when you get to your destination. However, you're lucky, because if you go to the Bay-Houston area in Texas, you will undoubtedly have a lot of interesting things to do in Nassau Bay, Texas.
Why Bay of Nassau? Well, oddly enough, this city is unique in that it is not very old, only since the mid-20th century with the advent of the US space program in Houston. As the Johnson Space Center consolidated itself as part of the area, Nassau Bay was created as a community for staff, astronauts and their families. It so happened that as the area grew, so was the knowledge that it was a rather pleasant place, and the visitors simply could not resist.
In fact, they still can not keep away, because there is so much to do and around, in the bay of Nassau. Here are seven fun things that are “required” items on any visitors list:
Wings Over Houston Airshow at Ellington International Airport - as you expect from a place where NASA is a major employer, this air show is an international joke and excites people of all ages, so it’s great for families.
Kemah Boardwalk - just a few miles from Nassau Bay - the world famous camp site. Offering the promenade charm in a few days, along with modern cuisine, nightlife and attractions for the whole family, this is a great place to have fun.
San Jacinto Monument - A few miles from La Porte, you will find commemoration of those who fought in the Battle of San Jacinto, as well as those who fought for the independence of Texas. If you love history, you can not miss it.
Battleship Texas - If you are a history buff and a fan of war, the Battleship Texas allows you to see a real participant in both world wars. Consideration of the First World War ended in 1918, says something.
Murder in Chocolate Mystery Theater (and cafe) - Take a stroll along the stupid side, checking out this entertainment dinner in the theater. There is also a cafe where you can enjoy great coffee with entertainment on the way to the theater, interactive games and even magic.
Nassau Bay Street, Etz party. On this little shinigue there will be live music, trucks for trucks and entertainment for all ages, not to mention free access and free parking. This is also a BYOC - Bring your own chair.
Houston Space Center - Of course, you can’t go to Nassau Bay and not visit the Houston Space Center. This is the official Visitor Center of the NASA Johnson Space Center and for 25 years has hit millions of visitors from around the world. This is fairly easy to do when you have a 180,000 square foot “e-tainment” complex!
Although he began life as an indispensable community for NASA employees and their families, Nassau Bay, Texas certainly became a gem in the Bay-Houston area of Texas. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
