Yeast Infection Sucks - Here's How To Cure It -2

Yeast is most often used for making bread and bread. But there is another form of yeast that is present in our bodies. Yeast is a fungus that is usually present in our skins, especially in areas where there is moisture, like the mouth and vagina. About 20% to 50% of women who are healthy have yeast in the vaginal area.

Candida albicans, a type of yeast, is known to be the type of yeast responsible for vaginitis or inflammation of the vagina. This type of vaginal yeast infection is commonly called candidiasis. Such a vaginal yeast infection is the most common of all vaginal infections affecting women, and in rare cases of men who have had sex with women with candidiasis.

There are only a few symptoms that indicate a possible vaginal yeast infection. However, these symptoms may also indicate other conditions that are not necessarily associated with yeast infections. Here is a brief list of physical indications that may indicate the presence of a yeast infection:

1. Itching. Vaginal itching is something that can usually be fixed with a good sink. If a fungal infection is suspected, an over-the-counter antifungal cream can often relieve itching. An unremovable itch should already be the cause of anxiety, as this should mean that there is something else that irritates the area that cannot be killed by antiseptics or fungal treatment. Severe itching may be accompanied by redness and swelling characteristic of vaginitis.

2. The pain. When there is pain, it seems that something is wrong. The pain of a vaginal yeast infection can occur as a result of further irritation of the infected area, either due to friction with clothing or other parts of the body, or because of fluids, bodily or other, affecting the inflamed area. People with vaginal yeast infections often experience pain when they urinate or during intercourse.

3. Discharge. It is not present in all cases of vaginal yeast infections. Those who have vaginal discharge have thick and dark-related substances from their vaginal cavity. This discharge may be white or yellowish and usually odorless. However, some patients with yeast vaginas reported that their excretion had a starchy smell.

These symptoms may also indicate several other conditions. If they are tested for several days, you can consult a doctor. Vaginal examination, along with microscopic analysis of a sample taken from an infected area in your vagina, can give you a definite answer regarding your condition. When these symptoms occur and linger for more than a week, a yeast infection can be a symptom of a more serious illness, such as diabetes or AIDS.

If untreated, yeast infection can spread throughout the body and cause systemic anti-cancer disease, which can be fatal. Most people who develop a systemic cardiovascular disease are often diagnosed with critical diseases that are difficult to treat with conventional procedures. Thus, at the slightest sign of a vaginal yeast infection, you should consult your doctor and get the right treatment.
