MS Excel Tips - Adding a Background Image to an Excel Worksheet -2

Most MS Office users will be familiar with using background images in MS Word and MS PowerPoint. Have you ever thought about using background images in Excel files?

Adding a background image to a worksheet or book can really liven up a presentation, in which graphs and diagrams, even when faced with it, can become a bit monotonous. You can also use them for corporate journaling or branding through all your office documents.

These background images will really make you deal with the crowd when you present this presentation. Here's how to do it.

  • Open the extended sheet you want to add.
  • Select the Page Layout tab.
  • Select page setting group
  • Hit background
  • A sheet background window will open.
  • Go to the image or image you want to add as a background.
  • Click the insert button

Now you have a background for your sheets sheets. You may have to work on setting the font in the workbook, depending on your background selection. I usually choose a very dark background image and change my Excel fonts, become very light as a contrast, or use a very light background with a contrasting dark font for my work page contents.

It is so easy to add an image for presentation or viewing on the screen. If you want to get a background image when printing your worksheets, you need to apply a slightly different method to get these results.

To save an image when printing, you really need to add an image to the header or footer of your page. Essentially, you are creating a watermark or simulating a watermark, because this function is actually not available in Excel. It is also easy to do.

  • Open the image you want to add.
  • Select the "Insert" tab
  • Select text group
  • Hit header and footer
  • Picture
  • Click the area in the header or footer to which you want to add an image or image to
  • Double-click the image or image you want.
  • Text [& picture] an image will appear in which the image will be inserted
  • To resize or resize the image, click on the “Image Format” button in the header and footer
  • In the "Format" options, select the parameters you want on the "Size" tab

Any changes made to the background image are urgent and cannot be undone; you will need to delete the graphic and start over.
