Themed bedrooms for kids - design tips for themed rooms for kids -2

Maritime Themed Bedroom Great for kids who like to do something with the sea, pirates, sails, seashores or just want a unique design for their room. There are many approaches to the marine theme regarding accessories that can be integrated, but the choice of colors is fairly standard and includes red, white and blue.

There are plenty of navigation blankets for bedding for children on the Internet, as well as coordinating accessories such as curtains, rugs and wall paintings. With bed linen there are two options. One of them is to buy a set of bedding, which includes navigational images such as ships, lighthouses, boats, anchors, stripes and sea prints. You can also purchase suitable throw pillows. The second option is to go with solid color bedding in shades of blue or white or with a combination of the two, for example, with blue and white stripes of the bowl. White pipelines can be added at the edges, as well as throwing pillows with sea themes or solid red, white and blues.

The next step is to choose the color of the wall. Although you can use white (preferably antique white), red, light or dark blue, it should be used with careful consideration to avoid creating an overwhelming feeling. I usually recommend a white wall because bedding, wall decorations, accessories usually add enough color splash to make the room bright. You can use a dark blue color along the wall, with white lettering above. Another approach is to paint the room white with blue trim.

Wallpapers or maritime boundaries are another popular choice. Blue and white stripes also complement this design. Murals can be an interesting choice. Large murals can be purchased and painted on the walls, or painted by hand directly on the walls. A good idea is to study books for inspiration. Some proposals for frescoes are scenes of the sea or ocean, with sailing boats or ships in the distance, sailors, the captain's wheel, anchors, lighthouses, seagulls, sea shells and pirates.

Ideas for a nautical themed bedroom:

1. You can use pictures or prints of lighthouses, sailboats and other typical marine objects or scenes. Old photos of lighthouses and boats work well. Images can be taken from magazines or books, cut and framed to hang on the wall or arranged in small groups on dressers. Framed sailing charts, such as antique charts that track the routes of early explorers, provide an interesting touch.

2. Buy a painting, draw a large circle on the surface and cut a circle. Paint the wall and draw a frame around it to create the impression of a porthole. Large round mirrors can also provide this effect, especially if they have a white, blue, silver or red finish.

3. Pillows, blankets and catchy rugs that are red, white and blue help add to the marine feeling in space. Add sea shell collections, snags, sand dollars and snags.

4. Marine accessories can include: models of lighthouses and sailing boats, sailor flags, anchors and paddles, real lifeboat boats, navigation lights, lighthouses, lighthouses, captain's wheels, navigation clocks, fish nets, wooden chests, treasure chests, pirate or sailor figures, shells, maps, compasses and telescopes.

5. Brown wood furniture, such as a trapeze bed, dressers, bedside tables and bookshelves, go well with a maritime theme. You can even buy a boat bed. Another option - furniture in solid white or whitewashed finish.

6. Another completely different concept for the marine room, which does not include the red, white and blue color scheme, is to create a room using gray, blue and tan shades. This design approach is great for an older child. Walls can be painted with a view of the sea and sky, in subtle blues and gray tones, or murals can be painted. Driftwood and rope can be attached around the bed frame. Place the gull figurine on top of the bedding. Use fish nets in the room. Neutral carpet colors can represent sand. Fish can be hung with a thin rope from the ceiling and through the net. Dressers and other furniture for the bedroom can be sanded, coated. Cranes also operate in this trap and marine theme that looks like a den.

Hope you found these tips helpful. Have fun creating your nautical themed room!
