Beaches

With a picturesque flooded lake adjacent to the beach, this azure beach looks directly from the postcard from the palm of your hand. Fort Anzhengo and the lighthouse
This 17th-century fort, located along a beautiful beach near Varkala, was built by the British East India Company and served as an important goal during the Anglo-Mysore war. Anjengo is also known as Anchuthengu, which literally translates into 5 coconut palms in Malayalam. This fort is best explored on foot. Inside the fort is a cemetery built in 1704. A few steps away, the fort is a lighthouse that was used as a signal station for ships and cruises from England. Climb to the top of the tower for some stunning views of the Arabian Sea. Sivagiri Mutt
Sivagiri Mutt is worth a visit for the soul-searching traveler. This mullah was built in 1904 on Sivagiri Mountain by Sri Narayan Guru, a popular reformer and thinker. Every year, thousands of pilgrims come here during Gurudev Jayanti and carry out vivid processes, cultural programs, conferences and holidays. A visit to Sivagiri-Mutta is ideal for meditation and tranquility.
Temple of Janardan Swami
This 12th-century temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu is one of the most important times and popular tourist destinations in Kerala. According to local legend, the history of this temple dates back to two thousand years. This beautiful temple has an amazing place among coconut trees on a cliff overlooking Papanas beach.
