The perfect pork chop. Everyone wants to make the perfect pork jig. In fact, it is not difficult to introduce pork crabs. Follow these five easy steps to improve pork cooking in the open air.
- Start with a good-quality piece of meat purchased from a reputable butcher shop, or from a meat counter in a good-quality grocery store. I usually ask my butcher for a trimmed pork jackhole that is three quarters to one inch thick. I really like pork chops. You want some fat around the edges, and if it is still on the bone, in my opinion, it is even better. I like the bone. It adds flavor when cooking.
- Set up a grill for cooking with direct heating on one side and indirect heat on the other. If you are using charcoal or wood, raise fire to one edge of the trellis. If you are using a gas grill, put the burner on the high side on one side, and on the other side too low or too low.
- Put your favorite spice on the pork chop. I'm a little lazy here, and I buy it from Penzi Space. I am lucky to have a store near me. My favorite food for pork and chicken is what they call Ozark Spice, which is actually a mixture of salt, pepper, garlic and other spices. Take any spice mix you like and put it on your pork chops, wipe it thoroughly on both sides.
- Put your chops right on the heat of your grill and let them cook about five minutes on the first side, then turn them over and walk another five minutes on the second side. After this initial cooking period, move them to the cooler side of the grill / stove, close the lid and let them cook to the desired level. To ensure that you have cooked the pork safely, check the instant reading thermometer for a safe range for pork.
- If you like to use some kind of barbecue sauce, or a homemade recipe, or a commercially prepared sauce, it is time to apply the sauce, the last few minutes of cooking. Liberally apply the sauce (if used) and leave the chops on the grill for the last few minutes, spreading the sauce on both sides. When the chops have reached the desired temperature, remove the meat from the grill, lightly tent with aluminum foil and leave for five minutes before serving. Serve one serving per person, from any side that you like to serve with your tasty grilled pork chops.
There you have five easy steps to the perfect grilled pork chop. Enjoy!
