Although Machu Picchu is usually the destination for travelers to Peru, people traveling by birds receive huge rewards for spending time at the Tambopata National Reserve. This incredibly diverse national park is home to more than 670 different species of birds, and also takes into account the many different species of birds that inhabit different elevations of the area. Just a few species that exist in the park include Eagle Eagle, Hoatzin and thirteen different types of tinamos.

Basic moments

Many birdwatching tours are sent to the Tambopata National Reserve, especially to see the magnificent population of the macaws inhabiting the area. The highlight of the tour is the opportunity to see eight different types of macaws that have been recorded in the area (four large and four small), as well as seventeen types of parrots and parrots. Six out of eight species of macaws can be seen at the park's research center.

Along with the amazing bird inspection opportunities that the Tambopata National Reserve offers, there is also a huge variety of unique flora and fauna in this area. This region has been named the place of biodiversity on Earth and is home to more than 1000 species of butterflies, 200 species of mammals and more than 10,000 species of plants. Consequently, despite the history and culture of the Incan trail, it should not be overlooked, a visit to Peru can really be enhanced by exploring this fascinating biodiversity ecosystem.

Problems

One of the biggest problems that even the most experienced travelers and adventurers in Peru may experience is a disease in the heights. Regardless of where the bird watching route leads visitors to Peru, the height will be much higher than most people are used to - but it will also provide the best observations, so it is important for participants to prepare and acclimatize themselves before climbing. For many, this is a simple question associated with an extra day or two for their itinerary solely for rest and setting before the sunset.
