St. Patrick's Day Celebrations Around the World -2

Over the past 200 years, the Irish have emigrated to all corners of the earth. Some left their native shores by choice, but most emigrated to find work. They settled in cities and towns on five continents, no place is too distant, too wet, too dry, too hot or too cold. It is for this reason that St. Patrick's Day is celebrated on March 17 all over the world - just as festivals weaken in one city, they start next. Within 24 hours, when the earth rotates, and parts are illuminated by the sun, the festival begins, and the other approaches when the sun sets.

Fragments of these parades and festivals are broadcast on Irish television on March 18, because even when the dream arrives in Ireland on March 17, the most "Irish" parties are still in full swing elsewhere.

Irish traditions around the world

No Irish person is in contact with their ethnicity as an immigrant or those who are descended from Irish migrants, no matter where they live on the globe. They like to celebrate their origin with pleasure, and some quietly do so in remote areas, such as Newfoundland, where many of the citizens, although several generations removed from their native land, still retain the customs and accents of the origin of their ancestors.

In other areas, such as New York, Irish migrants for several generations have integrated into their communities, they ran a business, entered politics, worked in medical specialties, and served in the army, like every other citizen. The St. Patrick's Parade in New York is one of the largest in the world, now it is used to make national and international public and political statements both subtly and frankly.

Other parades take place in Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto, Vancouver, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, London, Glasgow and to a lesser extent in most European capitals. There are Irish festivities even in some parts of India, China and Japan.

The best place to celebrate the Irish national holiday

The best place to enjoy St. Patrick's Day and participate in their festivals, of course, in Ireland. The biggest parade is usually found in Dublin, and visitors from around the world converge in the city in mid-March to watch the street parade theater, drink a pint of Guinness and settle in a cozy Irish pub for traditional session music. The Irish who live at home usually visit the local paradise, and parades are held in the main city of every county in Ireland.

Local parades are always welcome to participate. Being local, we know many participants, we enjoy their music, satirical performances and support our neighbors and friends who promote their new product or service. We like to judge on the sidewalk, our children, not always understanding the transmitted messages, enjoy the spectacle, color and sound.
