For people who travel frequently, living in standard, large hotel chains can become boring and monotonous over time. Other boarding options, such as boutique hotels and bed and breakfast, are unique and interesting alternatives to the average hotel room.
A boutique hotel is a coined term that began in the 1980s. In larger cities, such as London and New York, hotels began to emerge, which were completely separated from typical hotel groups. These boutique hotels boasted a unique experience for people living there, and often many times less and less crowded than large hotels. Many hotels in Los Angeles in Hollywood consider themselves as "boutique hotels" and offer a great atmosphere, exceptional design and exciting themes. In many boutique hotels, each individual room has an exclusive and varied theme or aura that guests can choose.
Bed and breakfast are very similar to boutique hotels, but offer their own take on boarding. Most of the places and breakfasts are made from large private houses. These houses offer a private bedroom for the traveler, and also serve breakfast and other meals in the communal area located in the house. To be considered a bed and breakfast, the hotel must offer 10 or less rooms for guests. Bed and Breakfast, or B & B, provide a warm, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for guests. The owners usually live full-time at the bed and breakfast and do all the housekeeping and cleaning. B & Bs are affectionately known for their homely feeling.
