How to clean your statue -2

When you clean everything that is made of stone, you need to take some care, depending on the type of stone it has and the size of the statue. Outdoor garden statues and monuments need special care, as they are subject to all barracks of the elements, including mushrooms, lichens, mold and mold. Without regular cleaning, several levels of crime can form, which ultimately end up grinding or cracking the rock. A good statue cleaner will break through these layers, nourish the stone and help with recovery. Be sure to first determine what type of stone you are using, however, since the cleaner will depend on the stone.

Softer stones, such as limestone, sandstone or marble, need a softer stain. However, hard stones, such as granite, are more durable and will withstand better elements as well as tougher cleaners. A good rule of thumb is to give open statues a thorough cleaning every six months if you live in a harsh climate or that has a high degree of humidity; and on an annual basis in other climates. This will keep them in good shape, keeping them clean all year round.

First, rinse the statue well with water. This rinse will remove any surface contaminants that cling to them. Then, using a brush or toothbrush, you can start brushing around the statue to get all the details and remove the dirt that is embedded more deeply. After this first cleansing, you can then clean your statue and combine it with water, if the directions indicate this. Using this mixture, you can then clean the vacuum cleaner in a stone in a circular motion. Give the statue a good rinse after this second cleaning and let it dry completely.

Finally, once the statue has been processed, you can look at it well and see if you have removed most of the remains or not. If there are still stubborn herbs or dirt, you may need to repeat the cleaning process with your statue cleaner. After this cleaning, the next step will be to polish the statue using some kind of polishing solution. It may be more difficult for ornate statues or sculptures, but it will help restore the brilliance of natural stone and can really make your sculpture come alive.
